In this series, Katherine Sanders explores the divine feminine as expressed through the humble, aching beauty of motherhood. The natural world is not a backdrop it is a body, a loving grounded force that creates and  supports life. 

These paintings and prints sit with the longing woven into creation itself: the selfless pouring out, the sacrifice of love, the quiet intercession of a mother who keeps vigil. Inspired by the rich feminine imagery of Scripture, this work asks us to see God’s nature reflected in the one who nurtures, waits, and loves at great cost.

Each piece is an invitation to look longer — and to recognize something ancient and holy in what the world calls ordinary.
