Stairway to Heaven

Created in the wake of profound personal loss, Stairway to Heaven is a deeply spiritual work inspired by the timeless Led Zeppelin song of the same name.

This piece was born from the experience of watching her father slowly let go of the world — a process both tender and heartbreaking. The vibrant, layered circles at the base of the composition represent the rich, full life each of us builds: the communities we form, the relationships we cherish, the color we bring into the world. As the eye travels upward, those circles grow quieter, dimmer — a visual meditation on the way we release, one by one, the people and places that have defined us.

It is a painting about love, impermanence, and the luminous passage between this world and the next.
