Hope Is Alive #15

Hope Is Alive #15 is a one-of-a-kind mixed-media artwork measuring 12×15 inches. A three-dimensional green heart rests on handmade marbled pink-and-yellow paper, framed by a piece of handmade marbled paper used as the mat.

The piece is presented in a white shadow-box frame, giving the sculptural heart room to extend from the surface and letting its color, texture, and depth do the talking.

Part of the Hope Is Alive series, created in the summer of 2025, this work brings treasured paintings, studio paint, handmade marbled papers, and materials saved over decades into a fresh, joyful composition. Each heart in the series is unique, shaped by experimentation, memory, and the freedom to create without expectation.
